The Tooth fairy’s lesson on unconditional love

Tags:

How on earth could the tooth fairy teach anyone about unconditional love, you ask? It’s best to start with a peek at our scripture for the day.

Romans 8:38-39 (NIV)

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Let’s Think About It

I’ve been awake with my oldest since about 2:30 am.  You see, the tooth fairy stopped by and there is much excitement about a simple little dollar bill that looks like it just took a glitter bath. Glamorous tooth fairies have glamorous dollar bills.  There will be no sleep on the horizion for this Momma so I count my blessings as I snuggle with my baby bear and talk about all kinds of nonsense in the wee hours of this eventful morning.

The scripture above is powerful as I think about all the earthly conditions that could separate me from her as I hold her tight and understand what it means to have unconditional love for a child. Nothing and I mean NOTHING could stop my love.

I am a child of God and it’s humbling to know He has unconditional love for someone like me.  It is absolutely impossible to become separated from that gracious and merciful love. That makes me feel absolutely amazing on this sleepy Wednesday morning. Looks like that glamorous tooth fairy can dish out more than glamorous dollar bills. I got a precious lesson on conditional love today.

Now for some coffee.

Take care until we meet again !
